A
customizable trashcan for OS X desktops
for those who still miss the one in OS 9.
Registered
users can download new bonus themes via their original bonus theme
URL.
iCan
is is a trashcan for OS X which sits on the desktop. It's interactive
- it appears empty when it's empty, and full when it's full, just
like the one in OS 9.
You can drag to it, unmount disks with it, click it to open the
trash folder, and it responds to the Finder's command-delete.
Choose any style of trash can using any of the included iCan Themes.
If you wish to make your own themes, it's easy, and instructions
are provided.
iCan version 3.0 is fully compatible with OS X 10.3 (Panther).
Version 3.0 uses a new theme format based on png files instead of
icn files which means that older style themes are not compatible
with this version. However, iCan Theme Studio (see below) can be
used to easily convert them to the new format.
Features
It is dynamic, appearing empty when it's empty, and full when it's
full
Includes options to force empty the trash and delete locked items
Includes a secure delete option
It is fully customizable using iCan trash themes
Includes several themes made by several talented icon designers
Themes can contain sounds for deleting and emptying the trash
It handles aliases properly, don't worry about deleting their originals
and more...
